New identity
Joanne Bowles Jewellery,
23 Little Minster Street, Winchester, SO23 9HB
Why I rebranded the studio and shop
You may have visited the shop before and rememeber it under a diiferent name. I worked here for 5 years under the name Winchester Makers in partnership with my good friend and jewellery Suzannah Key. We were so proud of what we built here as a studio and a shop. We became well known for our personal service, quality of our work and our willingness to always try and fix jewellery problems where others wouldn’t!
Suzannah made the hard but exciting decision to relocate her life and business to be closer to family and friends in Bristol and has begun a whole new chapter of life there. We remain close and speak regularly, often sounding each other out aboutour jewellery projects!
I made the decision to change the name of the shop, under my own name of Joanne Bowles. I wanted to start my own new chapter with a clear direction and purpose for my business and I wanted it to be clear for our customers what I offered. It was a fun journey working with branding designer Laura Brown to create new branding, colours and a clear focus and direction for my business. I am very proud of the new studio and I am happy to have retained the welcoming feel and the personal service. My aim is always to create an atmosphere that is relaxed and people can chat to me about all sorts of jewellery projects feeling at ease.
I offer many of the same services as we did under the name of Winchester Makers. My studio assistant Eliza and I work on bespoke commissions, wedding rings and repairs. We also have jewellery for sale in the shop from my own collection as well as a curated range of other local jewellery designers.
If you haven’t been in since the rebranding, pop by and have a look, we will always be happy to chat and show you around or leave you to browse in our cosy space!
