Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make all your jewellery in-house?

Yes. Every piece is designed and handmade in my Winchester jewellery studio. I work with traditional techniques, small-batch processes, and carefully chosen materials to create jewellery that is tactile, wearable, and made to last.

I do also stock a curated selection of other local jewellery designers pieces, which although are not made in house, are made locally by hand.

Can I request a bespoke or custom jewellery piece?

Absolutely. I offer bespoke jewellery design, from engagement rings to remodelled heirlooms. You’re always welcome to book a consultation to discuss ideas, timelines, and materials. From our discussion I will be able to provide you with designs and quotes and we can go from there.

Is your jewellery ethically sourced?

Ethics and sustainability are central to my work. I use recycled precious metals wherever possible, responsibly sourced gemstones, and trusted UK-based suppliers. I’m always happy to talk through material choices if you have specific concerns.

Do you offer jewellery repairs?

Yes, I provide repairs, refinishing, resizing, and re-polishing on most pieces — including items not originally made in the studio. Bring your jewellery in or get in touch for a quote.

Can you remodel old or inherited jewellery?

I love transforming sentimental pieces into something new. If you have rings, family jewellery, or loose stones you’d like to reimagine, I can help design something meaningful and wearable.

Wedding Ring Workshop FAQs

What is a wedding ring workshop?

A wedding ring workshop is a private session where couples make their own wedding rings under my guidance. It’s a relaxed, meaningful experience held in the studio, usually lasting around four hours.

How much does the workshop cost?

The workshop is £450 per couple, plus the cost of materials (gold, silver, or platinum). Material costs vary depending on the style, metal, and ring size.

Do we need a consultation first?

Yes — you’ll have a free consultation where we talk through designs, metals, and processes. This helps me prepare an accurate materials quote and ensures your workshop day runs smoothly.

How far in advance should we book?

I recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks before your wedding to allow time for making, hallmarking, and any finishing touches. Earlier is always better, especially for summer weddings.

Are the workshops suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Most couples who come in have never made jewellery before. I guide you through every step at a relaxed pace.

Workshops & Gift Experiences

What workshops do you offer?

Alongside wedding ring workshops, I offer small creative jewellery workshops throughout the year, including wax carving, stacking rings, and festive sessions. New dates are announced via the newsletter and online shop.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes — gift vouchers are available for workshops, jewellery, or bespoke pieces. They come beautifully packaged and can be collected in the studio or posted.

Can I book a private workshop for friends, family, or birthdays?

Definitely. Private sessions for two to six people can be arranged. They make lovely gifts and memorable experiences.

Studio & Shopping FAQs

Where is your jewellery studio located?

The studio and shop are located in the heart of Winchester. It’s a warm, welcoming space where you can shop, browse new collections, and see work being made.

What are your opening hours?

Opening hours vary seasonally and are regularly updated online. You’re welcome to pop in, but if you’re travelling or want to discuss something specific, booking ahead is recommended.

Do you sell online?

Yes — jewellery, workshop spaces and vouchers can be purchased directly through the website. Some pieces are available exclusively in the studio including the homewares and gift items, as well as other designers jewellery.

Do you offer click-and-collect?

Absolutely. You can purchase online and collect from the Winchester studio at a time that suits you (during our opening hours).

Sustainability & Materials

What metals do you use?

I work mainly with recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, and platinum.

Are your diamonds and gemstones ethically sourced?

Yes. I source stones from trusted suppliers who prioritise traceability, responsible mining, and fair working conditions. Lab-grown and vintage diamonds are also available.

Do you use recycled materials?

Wherever possible, yes. Much of the silver and gold in the studio is recycled, and I encourage repurposing sentimental stones or metals for bespoke designs.

Orders, Delivery & Returns

How long does made-to-order jewellery take?

Made-to-order pieces usually take 2–4 weeks. Bespoke projects and engagement rings take around 6-8 weeks or could be longer depending on design and sourcing.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — international shipping is available. Delivery times vary depending on location and customs. Please get in touch if you want something posted internationally.

What is your returns policy?

Ready-made pieces purchased online or in-store can usually be returned or exchanged within 14 days, as long as they are unworn.
Bespoke, personalised, and made-to-order items are non-refundable.
