Wax Ring or pendant carving workshop
This is a fun and sculptural way of making your own unique ring or pendant in a 2. 5 hour class. With your tutor Joanne Bowles, you will learn the ancient technique of carving jewellery wax into any shape you like to create your piece. This is then sent off to a specialist silver casting company and Joanne will finish the ring for you with a polished or matt finish and your ring will be ready to collect around 2 weeks after your workshop.
This is a great workshop to share with friends or come along and meet new people in a relaxed environment at Winchester Makers in the heart of Winchester. You don’t need any experience to create something you will be very proud of.
Do you prefer gold? 18ct gold/rose gold plating is available at an extra cost of £30 per ring payable on the day. The workshop includes material to make a ring up to 8mm wide or a pendant approx 12mm x 12mm. If you would like to make anything bigger that this, we will weigh the wax and calculate the additional cost.
The workshop includes light refreshments and everything you need to create a new piece of jewellery.
